Inquisitor Karamov Painted!

In the spirit of all the effort put forth by Shotdownmind and Ultraraider to build a sensational Grey Knight Army, I decided to paint a model all by myself. Yes, I know it's crazy but I did it anyways.

The fact is when I saw this Finecast model, I just had to have it. Karamov has some super neat fluff and can be a bastard in actual game play too(orb bomb, MC PW, MC MM, relentless, chooses to pass/fail moral/pinning and gives units within 12" a reroll).

Garden List Update. Death Company & Lemartes Completed!!

At long last, the Garden is fully painted. With the completion of Lemartes and the Death Company there is only basing that remains.

This unit is MVP nearly every game and is a nigh unstoppable force. 31 attacks @ WS 5, INI5, STR5 with rerolls to HIT and WOUND, another 4 Power Weapons and 3 more Power Fist attacks...not to mention Lemartes when Fury Unbound attacks 7 times at WS5, INI7, STR6 with rerolls to hit and wound, assuming they charge of course. Feel No Pain and Fearless is a nice touch too.

Rage is a big deal and it does not always go your way but they(Death Company) are worth it. Delivering them accurately is the big challenge, but with big risks come big rewards.

At the last Contest of Champions, Lemartes and company killed 10 Grey Knight Terminators when they were assaulted because of fury unbound and master crafted on Lemartes.

Garden List Update. Lord Commander Dante Completed!

So here he is....the oldest living space marine in the Imperium, Lord Commander Dante. He is the very tip of the Emperor's spear and the heart of the "Garden List".

Garden List Update! Sanguinary Guard Completed

I promised to keep you updated on the completed units for the Garden List, so here is a big one.

Completion took about 3 days and I'm pretty happy with the end result. I have 12 mini's and 3 vehicles to go by July 29th. Wish me luck! TILL NEXT TIME....PLAY WELL, ROLL BETTER!!

Garden List Update - Death Co. Dread Painting Completed!!

"Nayef the Destroyer" awakens to find himself enclosed within a sarcophagus and his new Terminator Armor.

"Nayef" earned his paint job by sending a great many enemy vehicles and infantry to their demise.

MO Disaster! - Escalation League Success!!

I'm writing this blog to congratulate my local store, Heroes Games and Hobbies, for a fantastic escalation league 2011. Our "escalation" from 500 to 2000 points in 3 week intervals was a blast and participation was super strong. I've nominated the man who was there every Monday to set up the tables, match us and give us a variety of missions to choose from, for a Wolf Brothers Purity Seal.....Mr. John Allison. This would be the first award for merit given to an outsider of the chapter. SDM, in his sagacity, is considering all things relevant and will let the chapter know what he decides.

John promoted the escalation league to: young and old, new and veteran, male and female.

John organized the league efficiently and dynamically.

John set up outstanding tables. Heroes has great terrain, lots of space and he made the most of it.

John listened to his league players to find out what they were trying to accomplish and helped them.

John invited disgusting xenos filth so that my Blood Legions would have a spectrum of blood to spill.

Just a quick review of a what was the best escalation league yet! Thanks again to John and Kevin and thanks to everyone who played. Till Next Time.....Play Well, Roll Better!!

Blood Legion - Devastators ( WIP )

I've been working on these guys for about two weeks now. The models represent 2 squads of 5 devastators. Both squads consist of 1 Las Cannon and 3 x Missile Launchers sargeant with a bolt pistol/chainsword combo.

I'm using the SpuseMaroon(You Tube) Technique for painting Blood Angels and I've only VERY slightly modified it for the Blood Legion hues.

Please keep in mind that they guys are not finished by a long shot and a great deal of touch up will go into them before they are Matte'd. At this point they need touch up from eyes and final dot of white on eyes for light source, ultra highlights on all the armor (mix of blazing orange and bleached bone), some grenades and holsters need to be painted, crests need to be drybrushed and ultra highlighted, all weaponry and loading arms need drybrushing and details done. I missed a purity seal or two with base coats and still need clean up from wash and ultra highlight on all purity seals.

Finally the bases will be mostly like the SpuseMaroon basin you see in part 4 of his series with a greyish rock and bright green grasses over rubble
