Heroes Games and Hobbies in Sparks, Nevada is where our journey to the Contest of Champions Warhammer 40k tournament starts. January opened with a bang as Monday Night Escalation League began anew at 500pts. We are also getting ready for an invasion of L.A. for February 19th Broadside Bash GT Event. The excitement is building each day as we also prepare for our local 2000 point Rogue Trader Tournament on Saturday, January 22nd. The grim darkness of the far future sure is... fun!
Although it was cold Saturday morning, we made the 2-hour drive to Sacramento with no problems and clear roads. The large crowd waiting outside the Great Escape Games entrance let out a huge WAAAAAAGH when store owner Gary opened the doors and started registration. Everyone was pumped and ready for some Warhammer 40k madness!
We spent the last week pretty much focused on this tournament:
Gary, Sirus and the rest of the Great Escape Games crew was extremely organized and ran a very awesome event in all ways. All of us got 20% off Warhammer 40k stuff too.
Reno 40k had good representation. We had lots of fun and put up some good battle results and overall performance. Howl!
